The SCF Assessor and Instructor Certification Organization (SAICO) is a brand owned by the Secure Controls Framework Council, LLC (SCF Council)
The Secure Controls Framework Conformity Assessment Program (SCF CAP) is an organization-level conformity assessment. It is designed for cybersecurity & privacy practitioners to deliver an organization-level certification that is industry-recognized and earned through a qualified third-party assessor’s review of supporting evidence of a control’s effectiveness.
An SCF Practitioner has the knowledge and qualifications to implement and maintain SCF controls within an organization.
An SCF Assessor acts as a member of a Third-Party Assessment Organization's (3PAO's) assessment team to perform SCF CAP assessments. SCF Assessors have the knowledge and qualifications to analyze SCF controls to determine if the control is appropriate, properly implemented and produces the desired results to meet Assessment Objectives (AOs).
The SCF Architect has the knowledge and qualifications necessary to design SCF-based cybersecurity and data protection programs that are capable of addressing the tactical, operational and strategic needs of the organization specific to its unique People, Processes, Technologies, Data and Facilities (PPTDF) considerations. SCF Architects are expected to assist SCF Practitioners with the implementation of SCF controls and make necessary adjustments to the organization's cybersecurity and data protection program to account for new and/or changed laws, regulations and frameworks that affect the PPTDF.
SAICO certifications are valid for a one (1) year period at which time, the certificate must be renewed or it is expired. The renewal process included paying a fee and taking a knowledge test to ensure the individual's continued proficiency in the subject matter.
